Featuring AMD’s Migrating to the Vitis Unified IDE

This FREE online workshop will introduce the tools and techniques required for software design and development using AMD’s new Vitis™ IDE unified platform. Starting with an introduction to the basics of the Vitis platform, the development of Bare-metal or Linux software applications, the debugging, and the use of the new Python-based command line will be discussed, and guidance on migrating existing SDK projects to Vitis™ will also be provided.

The main motivation behind the new workshop is that the Vitis tool is migrating from Vitis IDE (Classic IDE) to the new Vitis Unified IDE:

• Updating the back-end framework to next-gen Eclipse Theia
• Providing a cleaner UI experience
• Unifying different flows such as embedded, HLS, and AIE flow so that the users don’t need to jump from one tool to another
• Unifying the command line flow to new Python-based CLI

After completing this Workshop attendees will have the necessary skills to:
